At the Learning Online Group, we believe education should be accessible for everyone. That belief extends beyond our student base, which is why we’re committed to supporting initiatives that deliver education where it’s needed most.
Since 2022, we’ve proudly partnered with the Hope Katolo Nursery in Kenya to support early childhood education. Our donations have helped fund teachers’ salaries, provide nutritious meals to students, maintain safe accommodation, and supply essential classroom resources — ensuring all 90 children at the nursery have the support they need to learn, grow, and thrive.
2024 Update
The 2024 school year ended on a high note; The graduating students enjoyed a special excursion to a local nature reserve and fun park. For many of the children and staff, it was their first time leaving the village or travelling in a vehicle, making it a truly memorable day for all involved.
Prior to graduation, the school organised the annual Hamper of Hope raffle, an important fundraiser that ensures every student and staff member receives a staple of foods to help them through the Christmas break.
In 2025 they are planning to release Girl Child, a new book inspired by the life of their founder, Georgina, with 40% of proceeds going directly to the Hope Katolo Nursery. Georgina has a remarkable story of resilience; Despite facing personal health challenges and raising three children as a widow, she opened a nursery school in her village, operating with minimal resources where she provided education and meals to 47 children. Her commitment caught the attention of four Australian volunteers in 2007, leading to a partnership that transformed the nursery into a fully-fledged school with multiple classrooms, a kitchen, and other essential facilities. Georgina’s story will be detailed in the upcoming book, offering readers an insight into her journey and the beginnings of the Hope Katolo Nursery.
In addition, the school sponsorship program will reopen in early 2025—another opportunity for donors to make a tangible difference in a child’s education.
